Terms of Service

These Terms of Service govern your use of the OKAIOK platform operated by Mark Tan ("OKAIOK", "we", "us"), Alberta, Canada. By creating an account, you agree to these terms.

1. The Service

• OKAIOK is an AI-powered workforce training platform designed to help newcomers to Canada prepare for trade certifications, licensing exams, and employment.
• Features include: AI-generated flashcards, quizzes, mind maps, study reports, podcast summaries, course marketplace, and government grant information.
• AI-generated content is for educational reference only. It does not constitute professional legal, immigration, or career advice.

2. Account & Eligibility

• You must be 13 years of age or older to use OKAIOK.
• You are responsible for maintaining the security of your account.
• One account per person. Do not share your account credentials.
• We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts that violate these terms.

3. Subscriptions & Payments

• OKAIOK offers free and paid subscription tiers. Paid features require an active subscription.
• Payments are processed by Stripe. Subscriptions renew automatically unless cancelled before the renewal date.
• Refund policy: You may request a full refund within 7 days of initial purchase if you have not consumed more than 20% of the subscription period.
• Price changes will be communicated at least 30 days in advance.

4. Acceptable Use

• You agree NOT to: reverse engineer the platform, scrape or mass-download course content, share subscription access with others, or use the service for any unlawful purpose.
• Course content is licensed for personal educational use only. Redistribution or commercial use of platform content is prohibited.
• Violation of these terms may result in immediate account termination without refund.

5. Intellectual Property

• All platform software, UI design, and original content created by OKAIOK is our property.
• Course materials uploaded by administrators remain the property of their original rights holders.
• AI-generated content created during your session is yours to use for personal educational purposes.

6. Disclaimer & Limitation of Liability

• OKAIOK is provided "as is". We do not guarantee that AI-generated content is 100% accurate or up-to-date.
• Government grant information is for reference only. Always verify eligibility directly with the relevant government agency.
• To the maximum extent permitted by Alberta law, our total liability to you shall not exceed the amount you paid in the 12 months preceding the claim.

7. Governing Law

• These terms are governed by the laws of the Province of Alberta and the federal laws of Canada applicable therein.
• Any disputes shall be resolved in the courts of Alberta, Canada.

8. Changes to Terms

• We may update these terms. Material changes will be communicated by email at least 14 days before taking effect. Continued use constitutes acceptance.
